The neighborhood along Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai has been renamed after the Burj Khalifa, the highest structure in the world. Soaring above other well-known skyscrapers scattered along the busiest road in the Emirate, the 830-meter edifice recently celebrated its 14th birthday.

Of the 28 reported by the Dubai Land Department, this is the most notable name change.

There are a number of buildings containing apartments, offices, hotel rooms, and residences along the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The neighborhood is well-liked by investors, tenants, and visitors due to its close proximity to well-known landmarks and important places including Downtown, Business Bay, JLT, and Dubai Marina, among others.

Al Quoz 2, Ghadeer Al Tair; Ranches, Wadi Al Asafa 6; Sports City, Al Hebiah Fourth; and Motor City have all been renamed to Al Hebiah First. The complete list of the 28 renamed areas, together with their area codes, is as follows:

The reason and date of the name modifications are not readily apparent. The DLD has been contacted by Khaleej Times to request a statement.

Recently, Dubai announced the introduction of a new road naming system. In the initial phase of the project, indigenous plants and flowers served as inspiration for the names of the roads in the Al Khawaneej 2 region. Al Ghaf Street bears the name of one of the most well-liked tree species in the area. Similar names were given to other nearby streets, including Al Sidr, Basil, Al Faggy, Al Samr, and Al Sharia.

The names of 28 significant locations, including Sheikh Zayed Road, have been revised by the Dubai Land Department, signaling a significant change in the city of Dubai's topography. Burj Khalifa is the new name for Sheikh Zayed Road, which is one of Dubai's busiest areas. The Burj Khalifa, which is 830 meters tall and dominates Dubai's skyline, casts a shadow over other well-known towers along the city's busy roadway.

There are many different types of residences, workplaces, and hotel apartments in the Sheikh Zayed Road neighborhood in Dubai. Known for being close to Business Bay, Downtown, JLT, and Dubai Marina, the neighborhood is well-liked by visitors, tenants, and investors. The eponymous road will probably continue to go by the same name, even if the Sheikh Zayed Road area will now be known as Burj Khalifa.

In addition to Sheikh Zayed Road, a number of other areas have also changed their names, including Wadi Al Asafa 6 (previously Ranches), Al Hebiah Fourth (previously Sports City), Ghadeer Al Tair (previously Al Quoz 2), Jebel Ali Village (Jabal Ali First), and Al Hebiah First (previously Motor City), according to a post on the DLD website. The 28 renamed areas, together with their area codes, are listed here in full.
